These Prayer Flags are inscribed with auspicious symbols, invocations, prayers, and mantras, and are often found strung along mountain ridges and peaks high in the Himalayas.
According to Tibetan tradition, when prayer flags are hung in the wind, it bring happiness, long life and prosperity to the flag planter and all beings that are touched by the wind.

Army guest house at Sangetsar Lake (Madhuri Lake), Tawang. We were not allowed to stay here because of the bad weather conditions and lack of oxygen, but this is a truly magical place to visit.

This picture is taken at Sangetsar Lake, situated around 42 KM away from Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh. This lake is now popularly known as Madhuri lake, got its name after a famous actress (you know who) visited this place for a movie sequence.
