This was clicked somewhere on the Pacific Highway. Pacific Highway is one of the most scenic highways in the world and has some really beautiful beaches. I wish I could rent a bike and ride on this pretty route, but Indian driving licensee is not really valid for renting a motor-bike in the US.

Went for a day-long boat trip for Scuba Diving in Sharm-El-Shiekh Egypt. I did 2 jumps, couldn't finish first level of certification coz I was flying the next day and I am not a swimmer. I lied about swimming in the application-form but again you dont need to be a good swimmer for this.
<br />This pic was clicked on the way back, I never felt this glad to be back on the sane zone. The Sunset was never this beautiful and felt like a place where time stand still.

Somewhere on the trail at the Mount Tamalpais State Park near San Francisco, clicked moments before I broke my leg. I am glad I decided to continue the hike and made it to the Stinson beach, it was beautiful and totally worth it.

Another shot of the Iconic Golden gate bridge in San Francisco. It was just another windy day in the city and fast moving clouds were giving a real-time time-lapse effect to the whole view. I can sit there all day long!

Sunsets are mesmerizing, makes me go mused all the time. In fact I just keep on staring and often forget to use my camera but somehow managed to click this one. This pic was taken somewhere in the white desert of Egypt. Although my night stay was suppose to be a little further but this place was so magical that I insisted on staying and I am glad I did. Checkout another pic from here, my campsite in the white desert of Egypt. For some reason this pic reminded me of a poem I read in School: What is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare. (contd)

This was my camp during night stay in the White Desert National Park in the Bahariya Oasis. The White desert, also know as Sahara el Beyda, is located near Farafra Town in Egypt and has several massive chalk rock formations. This place is one of the popular location for travelers however due to recent events in the country I found myself alone in the massive oasis. Though It was not that difficult since I got couple of locals to arrange a vehicle, food and camping stuff for me. Sleeping in the middle of desert under the clear sky was an experience, however some howling sound once in while scared the hell out of me :)

El-Tanoura

 <img src="http://www.rahulphotography.com/images/20120327231654_el_tanoura_tannura_sufi_rahul_rishi_photography.jpg"><br/>
I managed to catch a live performance of the famous Egyptian folk dance called El-Tanoura (Tannura) in Cairo, Egypt. This form of dancing is derived from whirling Sufi religious practices. It was amazing to see the dancers goes in some kind of trance state while whirling endlessly without wobbling even once. Sufi whirling is actually a kind of meditation and the belief is that that during the dance they disconnect from personal issues, desires and focus on God. The music was magical and overall experience was amazing. I would strongly recommend taking time out for this if you are planning to visit any of the middle east countries.
